Color Guard Audition

Rehearsal
Attire
We would prefer all
auditionees to wear black dancewear (Leotard, Body suit, Spandex), or any form
fitting clothing that is conducive to movement. Shoes are mandatory during the
entire camp. Therefore, it is necessary to bring jazz shoes AND tennis shoes
with you.
Equipment
Auditions-Flag
If possible, please
bring your own 6’ pole, bolts and practice flag. Auditions will consist of
fundamental exercises as well as a short passage incorporating these exercises
with movement. If you will be flying to the audition camp and cannot brig your
own flag/ weapon, we will make sure we have equipment provided for you.
Equipment
Auditions-Weapon
If you are planning
to audition on a weapon, please bring a rife/saber with you. Auditioning on both
rifle and saber is not a requirement, but strongly encouraged.
PLEASE NOTE:
Although we will be evaluating the talent level of everyone who will be
auditioning, we will also be taking under consideration your overall attitude
and personality. Your ability to work closely with others and to accept
constructive criticism is essential in order to become a member of this guard
program.
