Everyone MUST complete and submit the online
registration for and submit it if you plan on auditioning for Spirit 2006.

Dear Prospective Member and Returning Vets,
We are delighted that you have expressed interest in the 2006 Spirit Drum and
Bugle Corps. You will find that Spirit is committed to provide you with the
highest standards of education and performance. We are committed to balance hard
work with fun and fellowship. You will create memories and friendships through
Spirit that will last a lifetime. When
you arrive at the audition / open house weekend, you must have your
MEDICAL RELEASE FORM completely filled out as well as a Xerox
copy of your driver's license and a Xerox copy of your insurance card (front and
back). As well, everyone MUST pay the $65.00 non-refundable audition fee and the
$30 camp fee. (TOTAL $95) If you do not have all of these things, you will not be allowed to participate
in the open house weekend or audition for the corps.
Spirit is housed at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, JSU provides Spirit with
excellent rehearsal and housing facilities that are surrounded by a beautiful
and safe campus environment. As a member of Spirit you will experience a very
friendly atmosphere, which will make you feel like Jacksonville is your second
home.
As a member of the Spirit family you will grow not only as a musician, but also
as a person. You will attain ideals and personal growth that will assist you
throughout your lifetime, and will teach you the discipline and respect for
others that will enhance your success in any field of study. The bond in the
Spirit family is second to none. Once you become a member you truly have a
second family.
If you have a strong commitment to excellence and the willingness to be the best
that you can possibly be, then you have two of the essential characteristics
that it takes to become a member. Not only are we looking for great
musicians…but great people.
I hope that you will take advantage of all of the wonderful things that Spirit
has to offer. If you become a member of Spirit, it will be a decision that you
will cherish for the rest of your life!
